|
Christoph Böhmer establishes Maschinenbau Christoph Böhmer in
Wissen, a town east of Cologne in the German state of Rhineland-
Palatinate. The company focuses mainly on the development and
production of belt grinders for the power generating industry.

1984
|
The first permanent employee and two job-trainees are hired. A steadily
expanding range of products enables the company to grow to 15
employees by 1987.

1987
|
Christoph Böhmer purchases Erich F. Baurmann, a maker of industrial
systems.
|
|
1989
|
Introduction of modern office communications and data processing with
the acquisition of a computer system with 10 terminals.
|
|
1992
|
Maschinenbau Böhmer GmbH established. The company now employs
25 people and begins planning a new production hall.
|
|
1998
|
The company moves to its current location in Steinebach. Newly-acquired
facilities with 1200 square meters of space permit increased production
and product development. 30 employees.

|
2002
|
Facilities expanded by 1000 square meters to a total of 2200 square
meters.
|
|
2003
|
Acquisition of an additional production building in Steinebach adds
another 2000 square meters specifically for the production of automotive
components.
Today the company employs about 80 people. A new building for offices
and management is being planned.
